In Narmada district, the patchworks were expedited by the Building Department following an assessment done by the district administration on the condition of the roads.
The water in the district has receded and after the break from the rain, the executive engineering team of the Narmada department is carrying out the patchwork so that the people of Narmada do not face any problems while travelling on those roads, an official statement said.
In Rajkot, the district administration has commenced a survey to assess the damage caused by the recent heavy rains. Under the direction of District Collector Prabhav Joshi, financial assistance is now being provided to those affected by the floods, including compensation for animal deaths and house destruction.

Even as rains abated in most parts of Gujarat on Friday morning, several towns and villages witnessed water logging due to swollen rivers, officials said.
According to the State Emergency Operations Centre (SEOC), only four places in the state received 15 mm to 26 mm of rain between 6 am and 2 pm, while other parts remained dry or received light showers during this period.
