Gujarat reports 563 new coronavirus cases; 21 more die
Gujarat reported 563 new coronavirus cases on Monday, taking the tally to 27,880, while 21 more patients succumbed to the infection, 16 of them in Ahmedabad, the state health department said.

With this, total COVID-19 cases in Ahmedab rose to 19,151. In Surat, total number of cases increased to 3,365, and in Vodara to 1,898, department said.

Out of total 21 COVID-19 fatalities reported in state on Monday, 16 were from Ahmedab and five from Surat, it said. Total fatalities in Ahmedab district rose to 1,348, while in Surat toll increased to 128.
As many as 25 out of state's 33 districts reported fresh coronavirus cases on Monday. Among or districts, Jamnagar reported 10 cases, Gandhinagar, Junagh and Narma seven each, Anand six, Bharuch five, Mehsana four, Bhavnagar, Patan and Kheda three each, among ors.

In terms of recoveries, Ahmedab reported 401 such cases, taking total number of discharged patients in district to 14,013, department said. With 63 discharged in Surat, number of recovered patients rose to 2,384, while figure increased to 1,246 in Vodara with 51 recoveries.
So far, 3,29,343 samples have been tested for coronavirus in state. Gujarat COVID-19 figures are as follows: Positive cases 27,880, new cases 563, deaths 1,685, discharged 19,917, active cases 6,278, people tested so far 3,29,343.
