Gujarat school official clarifies on exam question on Mahatma Gandhi

In a shocking incident, an exam paper has come to light on Monday in which a question was asked to answer "How did Mahatma Gandhi commit suicide?" This was a question in an examination paper which left students of class 9 and class 12, in a school in Mansa area of Gujarat's Gandhinagar, surprised. school also runs under banner of ‘Sufalam Shala Vikas Sankul’ in Mansa area.
Speaking to Republic TV over incident, school officials have clarified that re are a few schools in area which are self-financed and t run by Gujarat state government. However, several of schools run on certain grants that are given to schools by state government. exam paper was tably set by teachers of school mselves. Later, it was found that it was an internal examination of school in which question was asked.

Republic TV confronted District Education Officer Bharat Vher, who shirked off of accountability of government and inste blamed schools itself. He furr said that an internal enquiry has been ordered into matter by school authorities.
“ government did t have any say in entire matter. We did t set that paper, and we did t get that paper here eir. It was an internal exam that was given to students for a practice session so that y are better prepared for board exams. We have ordered an enquiry into matter and asked for a report from se schools. Whoever is accountable will be found out,” Vher told Republic TV when cornered about issue.

Ar question asked in exam paper was: ‘re is a lot of circulation of liquor in your area, Write a letter to district police officials.’ For this question as well, DEO office claimed that re is an enquiry that has been ordered by Ministry of Education in order to find out why such inappropriate and factually incorrect question were asked to students of Class 9 and 12 in Gujarat schools.
Office of Bhupendrasinh Chudasama, who is Gujarat's Dholka MLA, also conveyed that re is a procedure that has been set in motion to make sure that such instances do t happen in future.

“Even though government did t set question paper, we have asked for a report from a couple of self-financed schools. We have zero-tolerance about se kinds of mistakes,” said officials of Ministry of Education, Government of Gujarat.
