Gujarat Tragedy: Sleep Deprived Driver Crashes Speeding Car Into Tree In Bharuch, 3 Killed

Surat: In a tragic ro accident, three men were killed after ir speeding car hit a tree on a state highway in Bharuch district, police said on Saturday.

deceased have been identified as Mitesh Chavda (20) and Chetan Bhatti (26) and Mahavir Agrawat,  all residents of Bhavnagar.

All Three Were on ir Way To Surat

According to police, all three victims were on ir way to Surat via Ankleshwar-Hansot-Surat state highway.

“After reaching Ankleshwar, y took Hansot-Surat highway towards Surat. Suddenly, vehicle swerved off ro, lost control, and crashed into a tree,” police said.  

Driver Was Sleep Deprived

Police furr said that two of three persons died on spot, while third succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital during treatment at Bharuch Civil Hospital.

Based on initial reports, officials said that accident is believed to have been caused by driver's sleep deprivation. police are ascertaining exact cause of incident. 

A case has been registered and furr investigation is underway, officials said. 

Earlier in September, a tragic ro accident claimed lives of seven people and left one seriously injured when a speeding car collided with a trailer truck near Himatnagar in Gujarat's Sabarkantha district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Vijay Patel confirmed that seven occupants of car were killed in crash. Emergency responders from both police and fire department were promptly on scene.

Deputy SP ded, “This morning, a car collided with a heavy vehicle on Himatnagar highway. Seven people in car died, and one person was injured. All victims were residents of Ahmedab.”

accident occurred around 6:00 am on Himatnagar highway, according to reports. police have taken bodies into custody and sent m for post-mortem. Preliminary investigations suggest crash may have been caused by driver negligence.
