Gujarat witnesses death of 69-year-old co-morbid Coronavirus patient in Surat hospital

The death toll due to coronavirus in India has gone up to seven after a 69-year old man in Surat died on Sunday.

Health Department of Gujarat also said that re has been ar death in Vadodara - a 65-year old woman, whose COVID results are awaited.  Earlier in day, India reported two deaths - one from Mumbai, ar from Bihar.

While a 38-year-old man in Bihar, who had returned from Qatar, and was suffering from kidney ailment has died, AIIMS, Patna also confirmed that he tested positive of COVID 19. However, it is unclear if man died of COVID 19. Ar man has tested positive of vel coronavirus. person is currently admitted in NMCH, Patna and treatment is going on. He had returned from Scotland.

Till March 22, 341 confirmed cases of vel Coronavirus with two death reported in Mumbai, one in Delhi, Kalaburagi and Punjab and Bihar each. On Thursday,  Centre anunced stringent measures to combat vel Coronavirus crisis. For instance, international flights shall t be allowed to land in India from March 22 for a week. Moreover, Centre has directed state governments to advise  people below of 10 and above of 65 to remain at home. state governments have also been instructed to enforce work from home for private-sector employees barring for those working in emergency or essential services.
