Haridwar: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly slit his sister's throat over her love affair in the Malanpura area of Manglaur, Haridwar. The gruesome crime occurred late Sunday night when the accused overheard his sister talking to her lover on the phone, according to police reports.

Kotwali Station House Officer (SHO) Shanti Kumar confirmed that after committing the crime, the accused confessed to his mother and brother about the murder. The family immediately informed the authorities, leading to the arrest of the accused.

The victim's mother had reportedly gone to visit relatives in Deoband, leaving her daughter and two sons at home. Police have sent the body for post-mortem, and an investigation is currently underway.

The tragic incident has left the local community in shock as the police continue to investigate the motive and other details surrounding the case.
