Haryana Horror: 19-Year-Old Woman Murdered, Body Found Buried In 4-Feet Deep Pit, Two Held

New Delhi: Delhi Police have arrested two men for allegedly killing a 19-year-old woman and burying her body in a pit in an abandoned area in Haryana , officials said on Friday.

accused were identified as Sanju alias Saleem (victim's boyfriend), Pankaj and Ritik, police said.

police received a complaint from victim's bror on October 22 stating that his sister h gone missing. He suspected that a man, whom his sister recently befriended, might have been involved in her disappearance, y said.

"Upon receiving complaint, multiple teams were formed to investigate. woman's phone was switched off," a senior police officer said.

During course of investigation, police apprehended Sanju and Pankaj. y confessed to crime and said that y h rented a car on October 21 and took victim along with some of her belongings.

A senior police officer, privy to investigation, said that y h earlier suspected that woman wanted to marry Sanju but he kept asking for some more time.

police also found that on day of Karwa Chauth (October 21), when victim was fasting, she reportedly h a fight with Sanju and y decided to meet. 

Following this, he asked his friends Pankaj and Ritik to arrange for a car to go on a long drive.

"y all boarded car and drove towards Rohtak. So far, we know that y killed her and buried her body under four-foot-deep pit in an abandoned area in Mina of Rohtak district" police officer said.

"Our team recovered victim's body from pit in abandoned area in Mina," anor police officer ded.

Police furr said that a case has been registered. y are looking for third accused in case, Ritik, officer said.

Sources in police said that some of family members are also claiming that victim was pregnant and teams are investigating case from all angles.

Meanwhile, victim's mor demanded strict action against accused. She said that her daughter was a social media influencer and used to make short videos for different platforms.

"We got to know that she met a boy a few months back. y became good friends and started talking. It was shocking when we came to know that his real name was Saleem. He confessed to killing my daughter and buried her body. We want strict action against all accused," she said.

victim's bror-in-law said that accused h used a different name when he befriended woman.
