Haryana Police launches online verification certificate service to promote transparency
People can now avail all sorts of police verification certificates through police department's round-the-clock citizen portal which will help reduce corruption

Haryana police have launched an online verification certificate with a digital signature on Wednesday. With help of online service, people can w avail all sorts of police verification certificates through police department's round--clock citizen portal which will help reduce corruption and make process more transparent.
According to a release, verification certificates that can be received online include character certificates, tenant verification certificates, police clearance certificates.

"se certificates have been integrated with digital signatures to speed up services of civil service delivery to make m transparent and corruption-free," release said.

Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, ditional Chief Secretary Home, Vijay Vardhan and Director General of Police Maj Yav from Haryana Civil Secretariat were present at launch of service on Wednesday.
However, as per release, in first phase, three services will be provided including a character certificate, tenant verification certificate, and police clearance certificate. se certificates with a digital signature can be downloed by citizen from Citizen Portal at all times.

More services to be ded in online verification system
In future, or services like employee verification, servant verification, etc. will also be integrated with digital signature. officials have reportedly said that services can be availed and digitally signed certificates can be downloed from anywhere at ir convenience by logging on to HarSamay portal.

Self Defence training to girls by Delhi police
Police from across nation are coming up with invative services as per need of states. Considering crime against women, last month Delhi police h launched an initiative of self-defence training programmes to girls in schools. Under programme, girls from Delhi schools received self-defence training by cops and such sessions were to be held every Sunday in various school campuses across national capital.

According to website of Delhi Police's Special Police Unit for Women and Children, programme provided self-defence training to groups of women and olescent girls at ir doorstep if y mand to create a group of 40-50 women of any group. If group was small n y were invited to SPUWAC office for a 10-day-long Self Defense training program. unit also organises summer and winter camps across city at various locations.
