Hathras: In Uttar Pradesh's Hathras, a police constable was found dead in a pool of blood in his house in Shyam Nagar Colony on Thursday afternoon. The Hathras police confirmed the incident saying that the deceased has been identified as Kuldeep Bhati, who was stationed at the Police Lines. As per the police, the deceased was discovered along with an unidentified woman who had a gunshot wound.
According to locals, they heard gunshots coming from the house and immediately rushed to the scene. After breaking down the door, they found Bhati’s lifeless body and the injured woman inside.
Both were taken to the district hospital, where the woman received initial treatment. She was later referred to a hospital in Agra for further care. Meanwhile, the constable’s body was sent for a postmortem examination.
Superintendent of Police (SP, Hathras), Chiranjeev Nath Sinha confirmed that the exact cause of the incident is still unclear. "Police have started a detailed investigation, and forensic teams are working to understand the events leading to the shooting," he said.
Authorities are continuing their investigation into the matter, and more details will be released as they emerge.
Further legal action is being taken into the matter.
