An ‘orange’ weather warning for very heavy rain has been issued in Himachal Pradesh for July 19 and July 20, an official said.

An ‘orange’ wear warning for very heavy rain has been issued in Himachal Pradesh for July 19 and July 20, an official said.

Shimla Meteorological Centre has predicted rainfall in state till July 24.

‘orange’ warning for very heavy rain has been issued for Sunday and Monday, and a ‘yellow warning’ for heavy rain has been issued for Tuesday, Met department official said.

MeT office issues colour-coded warnings to alert people ahead of severe or hazardous wear which has potential to cause "dam, widespread disruption or danger to life".

‘Orange’ is for wear conditions that have capacity to impact significantly. Yellow, least dangerous of all wear warnings, indicates possibility of severe wear.

Meanwhile several parts of Himachal Pradesh have received light to moderate rains since Friday.

tribal district Lahaul and Spiti's administrative centre Keylong recorded lowest temperature in state at 12.2 degrees Celsius, it said.
