Waterlogging in various parts of Jammu
MeT office has predicted scattered rains at a few places in region till October 1. residents of Jammu woke up to a heavy cloud cover followed by rains and had to face waterlogging and traffic snarls at various places, including Panama chowk and Canal road. rainwater entered into houses and shops at different low lying areas due to flooding of streams, causing hardships to people who were seen wading through waters, officials said. y said that re was major report of any dam in affected areas, but a few illegal constructed structures on banks of streams suffered some dam due to sudden increase in water flow.

According to reports, River Ganges is overflowing and red alert has been declared in 15 districts across State. Following incessant rainfall over past two weeks, districts along River Ganges in Bihar from Buxar to Bhagalpur are facing a severe flood situation. In addition, water has also entered low-lying areas. Post heavy downpour in last two weeks, districts are w facing a severe flood situation.

At Buxar, Dighaghat, Gandhighat, and Hathidah water levels have slowly returned to a stable state and are likely to lower if downpour stops. India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a report stating that rain and thunderstorms are likely to continue in Bihar this week. It had issued an orange alert for Bihar till Saturday morning. However, thunderstorm and lightning are to continue over Bihar till Wednesday.
