Here's Why Police Impose Prohibitory Orders In Delhi Till October 5
The Delhi police have imposed section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at several places in Delhi for the next six days
New Delhi: The Delhi police have imposed, prohibitory orders under section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at several places in Delhi for the next six days over the intelligence inputs that some unsocial elements may attempt to create a nuisance in the wake of the Waqf Board Amendment Bill, Shahi Idgah case and ongoing assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir and Haryana . According to the police, section 163 has been implemented on all borders of Delhi except New Delhi, Central Delhi and North Delhi.
A senior police official of the Delhi Police stated that on the order of Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora, Section 163 will remain effective in Delhi from September 30 to October 5.
During these six days, there will be a strict ban on sit-ins and demonstrations. In addition, no one will be allowed to bring any kind of weapon during this time.
As per the police, the Delhi police received inputs regarding some unsocial elements trying to create disturbance in the national capital in view of the Waqf Board Amendment Bill, the Idgah case and elections in two states.
