New Delhi, India: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said on Thursday that a victory for Donald Trump in upcoming US presidential elections could “disrupt world order” but emphasized that India could benefit from se disruptions, particularly in tre. 

Jaishankar speaking in Sydney said that under Trump ministration, India expects cooperation and sees significant tre opportunities.

Trump, who is currently leing in polls, would face Democratic rival Kamala Harris in a heated race for presidency. Jaishankar’s comments underscored geopolitical shifts that could result from Trump's policies, especially in areas of global tre and diplomacy. 

Jaishankar is on an official visit to Australia from vember 3-7, during which he met with Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra. two leers discussed ways to deepen India-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, with Jaishankar conveying Prime Minister Narendra Modi ’s warm greetings to Albanese.

Jaishankar also met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Winston Peters, where y discussed bilateral cooperation in education, techlogy, agriculture, and people-to-people ties. ministers exchanged views on Indo-Pacific affairs and or global issues.

visit also included interactions with leers of Australia-India Parliamentary Friendship Group and Australian Liberal Party leer Peter Dutton, focusing on strengning political, ecomic, and strategic ties between two countries.

In dition to his meetings in Australia, Jaishankar also met UAE’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Canberra. 

Following his time in Australia, Jaishankar is scheduled to travel to Singapore to dress 8th Roundtable of ASEAN-India Network of Think Tanks and meet with Singaporean leership to review bilateral relations.
