Chandigarh: Though BJP clinched a hat-trick in Haryana Assembly elections, its vote share percent remained a few tch above vote share percent secured by Congress . When Bharatiya Janata Party ( BJP ), which comfortably crossed magic figure of 45 in 90 member assembly of state and is all set to form new government with 48 seats, secured a vote percent of 39.94 per cent, Congress , with only 37 seats, mand to get 39.09 per cent vote share. As data is almost clear regarding number of seats and vote share by political parties in Haryana , it is being said that Congress could have mand to pull a good win if it h decided to fight polls in alliance with AAP, which mand to secure 1.79 per cent vote share in state.

People from political arena are analysing outcome of Haryana Assembly elections and said that if results could have been slightly different or completely different, if Congress and Aam Ami Party (AAP) h formed an alliance for Haryana Assembly Elections 2024.

Vote Share Doesn't Always Translate To Seats Won: Political Experts

It is teworthy to mention that Congress won 37 seats, and AAP didn't win any seats but secured a 1.79 per cent vote share. If combined, alliance would have secured a significant number of votes, potentially leing to more seats.

Congress party's vote share was 39.09 per cent, and AAP's was 1.79 per cent. A combined vote share would have been 40.88 per cent, which is higher than BJP 's vote share of 39.94 per cent. This could have potentially led to alliance winning more seats than BJP .

In terms of seats, Congress won 37, and AAP didn't win any. If alliance h won seats proportionate to ir combined vote share, y could have potentially won more seats than BJP 's 48.
