Republic Day Pare this year will be different in a number of ways. pare will be marked by confluence of  India's herit, growing defence might, and 'Aatmanirbharta'.

Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar briefed on modifications that will be significant during Republic Day celebrations this year. As anunced earlier too, celebration will begin on January 23 inste of January 24 with special events remembering
Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. week-long celebration of Republic Day would continue till January 30, Martyr's Day.

How Republic Day 2022 will be first in many ways

This year, for first time, start time of pare has been changed to10.30 am inste of 10.00 a.m. in order to ensure visibility during flypast event as Delhi has been witnessing foggy skies for last few days. Ministry of Defence has also requested goverrs to have a diverse set of invitees in ir respective states like Divyangs, young achievers, COVID warriors, and eco-warriors.

In a major change in format of cultural events in pare, 480 dancers will be presenting diverse dance forms of country. se dancers have been chosen through competition among over 3800 participants in various sts to make event spectacular. se performances were earlier done by children of different schools.

10 painting scrolls 75 ft long 10 ft high with pictorial tributes to unsung heroes of nation and rich cultural herit of nation, will be placed inste of view cutters in stands during Republic Day pare. Before commencement of pare, re will be a band display by CAPFs to build up mood on grand national occasion.

To enhance visual reach of event, 10 large LED screens will be placed along Rajpath where event will be shown live while before event starts, glimpses of previous pares will be shown. grandeur of air power of all three forces will be evident in biggest Fly Past over Rajpath.For first time as many as  75 Aircraft will participate in flypast to celebrate Azi ka Amrit Mahotsav. unseen foot from cockpit of aircraft will also be played on screens at Rajpath.

Defence Secretary Ajay Kumar said, " This year Invitation card will have seed of medicinal plants like ashwagandha, aloe vera to inculcate a sense of nature conservation among people who will be appealed to plant se card seeds inste of throwing m."

COVID rms in place for R-Day pare

On COVID control front too, re are several measures introduced in Republic Day pare this year. Keeping COVID protocols for pare, number of people has been curtailed from 25000 last to 5000-8000. For a larger and virus preventive participation, a Hybrid format is encourd this year. As a mark of gratitude to underprivileged contributors of society, some seats will be earmarked for safai workers, auto-rickshaw drivers, and vegetable vendors and y will be specially invited to witness pare.

Beating Retreat will see unprecedented 'Drone show' with 1000 drones developed by Indian startup of IIT Delhi. India will become fourth country in world after Russia, US, and China to hold a show of 1000 drones. 21 tableaus of states/union territories and various ministries will be visual treat during Republic Day Pare. As per officials of Ministry of Defence Central Vista as far as Republic day is concerned is complete.
