Howdy Modi comment makes Anand Sharma of Congress hit out at PM Modi

Congress leader Anand Sharma took to Twitter to hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the  "Abki baar Trump sarkar" remark at the Howdy Modi event.

Congress leader Anand Sharma took to Twitter to hit out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for making the 'Abki baar Trump sarkar' remark at the Howdy Modi event at NRG Stadium on September 22. PM Modi had, in his speech at the event, said: “We in India connected well with President Trump and with the words of candidate Trump, 'Abki Baar, Trump Sarkar', rang loud and clear.”

You have violated the Indian Foreign Policy: Sharma

While responding to Modi's comment, Anand Sharma, in his tweet, said that the PM had violated the principles of the Indian Foreign Policy. He also said that PM’s comment is a breach of both the countries as democracies.

President Trump and PM Modi both addressed the gathering

PM Narendra Modi and Donald Trump, during the mega diaspora event, addressed over 50,000 Indian-Americans. PM Modi became the first Indian Prime Minister to have had addressed a joint rally with a US president. During his speech, PM Modi thanked the organizers of the event and spoke to the Indian-American community present at the event.

Additionally, US President Donald Trump also spoke at the event and shared his affection for PM Narendra Modi and India, as a nation. He described PM Modi as America's greatest, most loyal friend and said that PM Modi is doing an exceptional job for India.
