Howdy Modi: PM tweets he is glad to meet the Bohras in Houston

PM Narendra Modi on his meet with the Bohra community took to social media to speak of the meeting stating that they got to converse on a wide range of issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his recent meet with the Bohra community in Houston took to social media to speak of the meeting. The PM stated that the community has created a prominence for itself all around the world. He notified that he had the good fortune to speak with the community on several issues pertaining to the world. The PM meeting with the Bohras happened shortly after he met the Sikh community. The Sikh community in Houston submitted a memorandum that offered the PM thanks for what he has achieved for the Sikh community and for the Kartarpur corridor.

PM meets the Bohra community 

The PMO had earlier shared a video of the PM meeting the Dawoodi Bohra. In the video, we can see the Bohras warmly greeting the PM. The Bohra community facilitated PM Modi with a shawl in an effort to show respect to the honourable PM. The Dawoodi Bohras are a sect within the branch of Shia Islam. They are spread over India, Pakistan, Yemen, the Middle East and East Africa. The community had a discussion with the PM of his visit to Indore the previous year, highlighting his friendship with Syedna Sahib.

'Howdy Modi'

The PM has been welcomed very warmly by Houston from the moment he landed. About 50,000 people have registered to attend the event 'Howdy, Modi'. The event which will see a 90-minute cultural extravaganza will observe more than 400 artists performing. This will be the PM's third major address to the Indian-American community after he became the PM in 2014 and the first after his re-election in May. The program is touted to start at 10:00 am preceding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address.
