Former Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore has taken to Twitter to applaud Prime Minister Modi’s humble gesture of picking up a fallen flower when greeted upon landing in Houston. Prime Minister's Humility
The Prime Minister, upon his arrival in Houston, was greeted with a bouquet of flowers by American officials as a part of the protocol. In doing so, a flower fell from the bouquet. To everyone's surprise, Prime Minister courteously bent down to pick the fallen flowers and gave it to one of his security personnel. PM Modi will be awarded the “Global Goalkeepers Award” at the Lincoln Centre by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation for leadership in the field of sanitation through the “Swachh Bharat Abhiyan”. According to the Gates Foundation, Modi will be recognised for “the progress India is making in improving sanitation, as part of its drive toward achievement of the UN sustainable development goals”.
