As Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United States' President Donald Trump addressed 50,000 people from the Indian-American community on Sunday evening at the NRG Stadium in Houston, the White House shared pictures of the bonhomie shared by the two world leaders. Amid cheers of the enthusiastic crowd, PM Modi asserted the strong ties shared between the two nations. He also emphasized on his equation with the US president saying, “Abki Baar Trump Sarkaar”. The Prime Minister also recalled his first meet with Donald Trump and added that Trump had assured him of his friendship with India. PM Modi lauds Donald Trump
During his speech, the Prime Minister heaped praises on the American president. "I can say, I had a chance to meet him often and every time I found the friendliness, warmth, energy, the President of the United States of America, Mr Donald Trump. This is extraordinary, this is unprecedented. I told you, we have met a few times and every time he has been the same warm, friendly, accessible, energetic and full of wit. I admire him for something more- his sense of leadership, passion for America, a concern for every American, a belief in American future and a solve resolve to make America great again. He has already made the American economy strong again. He has achieved much for the United States and for the world," PM Modi added.

PM highlights the Indo-US ties
In his introductory speech, PM Modi extensively underlined the 'strength and depth of human bonds' between India and the United States. Prime Minister said, "Friends, we in India have connected well with President Trump. The words, the words of candidate 'Abki Baar Trump sarkar,' we in India have connected well with President Trump. When I met him for the first time, he said to me India has a true friend in the White House. Our nations have taken our relationship to new heights."

PM Modi's US visit
Prime Minister Modi began his six-day long US visit on Sunday. Apart from the mega Howdy Modi event, the PM is scheduled to address at United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) on September 27. The Prime Minister on Monday will attend a Climate Action summit, highlighting India's commitment to fight climate change menace. On Tuesday, he is scheduled to attend a special event celebrating the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. India has also gifted a Solar Park named 'Gandhi Solar Park' to the UN Headquarters.
