Himachal Pradesh: 3 suspected cases of Coronavirus found in State says CM Jairam Thakur

Three suspected cases of coronavirus have been found in state on Wednesday, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said. "Among three cases, two people under observation in Tanda Medical College in Kangra had returned from Italy. third person, who came back from South Korea, is under observation in Indian Gandhi Medical college at Shimla," Thakur informed.

CM Thakur also said that isolation wards have been set up in both hospitals. A meeting will be conducted by state government to identified three more hospitals if re is a rise in COVID-19 suspect cases.

"Today we will be having a meeting to identify three hospitals which will be used if re is an increase in suspected cases or if a positive of coronavirus," he said.
Refuting to allegation made by Congress leader Ramlal Thakur, Himachal Pradesh CM said: " patient had to wait for only a few minutes as hospital needed time to prepare isolation ward." Congress leader had alleged that a patient transferred from Bilaspur had to wait for an hour as hospital was t ready to with coronavirus patient.

Chief Minister also said that government will take special precautionary measures as it shares a border with Nepal. He also said that precautionary measure will also be taken in areas such as Dharamshala where re is maximum influx of tourists from Tibet.
"However, public need t panic as t many coronavirus cases have been reported in Nepal," he said.
Coronavirus outbreak
According to latest reports, 42 new deaths in China due to coronavirus infections have been confirmed, taking total death toll to over 3,000. While most of cases are from Hubei province of China and city of Wuhan ( epicentre of outbreak), or countries including Iran, Italy, Japan and Philippines have also reported deaths related to vel coronavirus.

First detected in city of Wuhan, in Hubei Province of China, virus outbreak has w spread across 20 countries since December 2019. World Health Organisation (WHO) has dubbed virus as COVID-19.
