Chennai: Lawyers in Tamil Nu staged protests outside Mras High Court on Thursday, demanding justice and better security after a 30-year-old lawyer was brutally attacked outside court complex in Krishnagiri district. incident, which occurred in Hosur area about 40 km from Bengaluru, on Wednesday morning, was caught on camera and has sparked outrage across legal community.

What Happened? 

Kannan, who worked under a senior vocate, h just finished appearing in a case and was leaving court premises when a man named Anandhan stopped him. Without warning, Anandhan pulled out a sickle and began attacking Kannan.

A bystander captured horrifying incident on video. It showed Anandhan repeatedly hitting Kannan on he, even after Kannan fell unconscious and collapsed to ground. attack was relentless and left Kannan severely injured.  

Kannan was rushed to a private hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. His condition is reported to be critical.

After attack, Anandhan fled scene but later surrendered at a Judicial Magistrate’s court. Police believe assault was motivated by a personal grudge, but exact reasons are still under investigation.  

Lawyers Protest for Justice
