How A Couple's Fight Turned Ugly, Ended In Husband's Death In Pune

Pune: A man took the extreme step and ended his life after he had a fight with wife in Maharashtra ’s Pune. According to reports, the man left his home in a rush after having an argument with his wife. He drove to a nearby river, shared his last location on phone and jumped off the bridge to death. The tragic incident took place on Sunday. 

According to reports, the deceased drove for about 75-kms from his home and reached to Varandha Ghat in Raigad district, amid heavy rains.

After reaching to a remote hilly location in Varandha Ghat, the man sent his last location to his wife on the mobile phone with a message, “I'm going to commit suicide.” Post this, there was no communication with him.

His wife panicked and immediately informed the police. The cops launched a manhunt and sent officials to the last traced location, which was around 45-kms from the police station.

The cops informed that after they were informed by the woman, they immediately formed a rescue team which set off to locate the husband as per the last location shared by him to his wife. 

After reaching to the location, the cops searched the area but didn’t find anyone. The cops further looked around for 5 kms and found an abandoned car.

The police officials further sought help from district officials and volunteers to search the husband and learnt that he jumped from a small bridge into the river below.

After a massive search operation, the cops found the body, which was sent to the post-mortem and later handed over to the family.
