Hyderabad-Guwahati Indigo flight makes emergency landing after passenger engages in unruly behavior

A Guwahati-bound flight from Hyderab me an emergency landing at Biju Patnaik International Airport on Sunday after a passenger allegedly indulged in unruly behavior on board. 

IndiGo flight from Hyderab to Guwahati landed in Bhubaneswar after it was diverted under emergency protocol.  20-year-old  Irsh Ali  was deplaned and handed over to airport police, officials at airport said. 

passengers on board were scared after man created a ruckus and even tried to open a door of  aircraft, a police officer said, ding, man h violated safety rms despite repeated warnings. It was reported that he started yelling, standing on seat and disobeying instructions of crew.

man was taken to Capital Hospital here after he was deplaned, police officer said.  person is reportedly mentally unstable. flight took off for Guwahati after offloing  passenger at 7.13 am and reached destination around 8.30 am, an official at airport said. 

In a similar instance a few weeks back, a woman on Pakistan International Airlines flight PK 702, heing to Islamab from Manchester airport h opened emergency door thinking it's toilet door.

A PIA spokesperson said, “ PIA flight, PK 702, from Manchester to Islamab was delayed by seven hours. departure was delayed on Friday night when a passenger erroneously opened emergency exit causing emergency chute to activate. As per standard operating procedure, PIA h to offlo nearly 40 passengers and ir lugg. y will be justed on next available flight,” he said.

According to reports, spokesperson h also informed that passengers were provided with transportation and hotel accommodation and investigation into this episode was also conducted.
