Hyderabad Shocker: 2 Salesman Spike Woman's Drink, Rapes Her Inside Car, Both Arrested

New Delhi: In an appalling incident, a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted by a real estate salesman and his aide after they spiked her cold drink in Hyderabad on Wednesday, said police. 

Acting on the complaint, the police arrested both the accused, Janardhan and Sanga Reddy, and sent them to jail.

The victim claimed that she visited Miyapur on Sunday where the two accused picked her up for a site visit in Yadagirigutta. While returning at night, they took a halt at an under-construction building. They cited a breakdown for stopping the car midway to the accused.  

The two men then offered her food, but she refused to accept. However, they persuaded her to have a cold drink while the repair work was underway. It's suspected that the drink was spiked.  

The accused also offered her sweets, but the dizziness persisted. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused stripped her and sexually assaulted her for hours, the victim alleged. 

She claimed that the two men also physically assaulted her which led to severe body pain, according to the complaint. The accused then dumped her near a hostel and fled from Miyapur, the complaint read. 

Based on the complaint, a case was registered under appropriate sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) including 376 (Committing rape), 323 (Voluntarily causing hurt), 509 (Threatening women), and 420 (cheating, forgery, fraud and dishonestly).
