'I May Splash Acid On Her Face': Man Threatens Acid Attack on Woman for Her Clothes, Fired from Job

A man in Bengaluru was fired from his job after he threatened to throw acid on a female co-worker's face because of her choice of clothes.

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a man in Bengaluru threatened to throw acid on the face of his female co-worker because he did not like her choice of clothes. Taking swift action, the company immediately fired the man for his threatening remarks.

Bengaluru Horror: Man Threatens to Throw Acid on Woman's Face

A Bengaluru man threatened his female co-worker of acid attack because of her choice of clothes. The accused, Nikith Shetty, in a message, had said that he may splash acid on the woman's face if she did not ‘follow a good dress’. 

The message by the accused to the woman reads, “Kindly tell your wife to follow a good dress especially in Karnataka or else I may splash acid on her face.”

Man Threatens of Acid Attack, Gets Fired by Company

The marketing agency where Shetty worked, Etios Services, took immediate action, condemning the threat by the accused. The firm immediately fired the accused and also released a statement after.

The statement by the firm read, “We are deeply saddened to address a serious incident involving one of our employees, Nikith Shetty, who made a threatening statement regarding another individual's choice of clothing. This behaviour is absolutely unacceptable and goes against the core values we uphold at Etios Services. As a company committed to fostering a safe and respectful environment, we have taken immediate action. Nikith's employment has been terminated for a period of five years, and we have filed a case against him to ensure accountability for his actions.”

Shetty has been sacked for five years and a case has also been filed against him.
