IMD Predicts Flash Floods In Several Parts of Himachal, 47 Roads Closed
Continuous rainfall led to the closure of 47 roads across Himachal Pradesh, a flash flood warning has also been issued for Shimla, Solan.
Shimla: Continuous rainfall led to the closure of 47 roads across Himachal Pradesh , with the local meteorological department issuing a warning of a low risk of flash floods in the Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts.
The state emergency operation center reported that 18 power supplies and one water supply scheme have also been disrupted.

Malroan received the highest rainfall at 64 mm, followed by Pandoh with 32.5 mm, Berthin at 30.4 mm, Aghar with 29.8 mm, Mandi at 28.7 mm, Bhatiyyat at 28.4 mm, Jubbarhatti with 26 mm, Bhuntar at 25.7 mm, Sundernagar with 18.6 mm, Poanta Sahib at 13.4 mm, Dhaulakuan with 13 mm, Manali at 12 mm, Kufri with 11.6 mm, and Sarahan at 11 mm.
The local meteorological office has forecasted a low to moderate risk of flash floods in Shimla, Solan, and Sirmaur districts through Sunday.
The total number of closed roads includes 13 in Mandi, 11 in Kangra, nine each in Shimla and Kullu, two in Una, and one each in Kinnaur, Sirmaur, and Lahaul and Spiti districts.
Since the onset of the monsoon on June 27, Himachal Pradesh has experienced a 21% rainfall deficit, with 517.8 mm recorded against an average of 652.1 mm.
As of September 6, 157 people have died due to rain-related incidents, and the state has incurred losses amounting to Rs 1,303 crore.
