New Delhi: Marking a new low in often contentious relationship between judiciary and legal community, Mehmood Pracha, a senior lawyer has called for a boycott of Chief Justice DY Chandrachud's farewell over PM Modi's participation in Ganesh pooja held at CJI's residence.
"Modi saab was leading aarti (prayer) and he (CJI) was just a participant at his own home. After that event, mess has clearly gone that he was trying to flaunt his dearness and nearness to RSS and BJP . Have you ever seen or heard of a sitting CJI in his own home with a PM and standing behind him at a private puja", Pracha asked.
