President's At Home is hosted after Republic Day pare at Rashtrapati Bhavan. South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa who was chief guest at Republic Day pare was also present re.

70th Republic Day pare was held at Rajpath on Saturday with several tableaux set on Mahatma Gandhi and an all-women contingent pare as highlight.
During interaction with family, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said to wife of Ashok Chakra awardee, Mrs Mahajabeen, that her husband was a good man and sacrificed his life for nation.

Lance Naik Nazir Ahm Wani was awarded ‘Ashok Chakra’ on occasion of 70th Republic Day. Ashok Chakra is highest peacetime military decoration for valour, courous action or self-sacrifice away from battlefield.
Lance Naik Wani became first from Kashmir to be conferred highest peacetime military gallantry award. President of India Ram Nath Kovind presented Ashok Chakra to brave martyr’s wife Mrs Mahajabeen.

Lance Naik Wani, during a fierce gun battle against terrorists on vember 25, laid down his life for country. During a counter-terrorist operation against six terrorists, Lance Naik came under intense firing. Amidst battle, showing great bravery, he eliminated district commander of LeT and one foreign terrorist. He also injured ar terrorist before succumbing to his grievous injuries.

Lance Naik Wani joined Indian Army in 2004 at a very young . He became part of 162 Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army / Home and Hearth), Jammu and Kashmir Light Infantry. He was a part of a number of anti-terror operations in South Kashmir.
He later joined Rashtriya Rifles units in Kashmir.
His extraordinarily fearless and courous persona was reflected in getting Sena Medal for gallantry twice in 2007 and 2018. 2018 Sena Medal was given for eliminating one terrorist from a very close distance.
Apart from his wife he is survived by two sons Athar (20) and Shaid (18).
