Independence Day 2019: J&K and Ladakh artists' soulful National Anthem rendition celebrates an Integrated post-Article 370 India
Ten days after the passage of the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019, India stepped into its 73rd year of Independence. August 15, 2019, marked the first Independence Day for a fully integrated Jammu and Kashmir - with PM Modi describing the event's meaning by using with the words 'One Nation-One Constitution'.

Ten days after pass of Jammu and Kashmir Reorganisation Bill 2019, India stepped into its 73rd year of Independence. August 15, 2019, marked first Independence Day for a fully integrated Jammu and Kashmir - with PM Modi describing event's meaning by using with words 'One Nation-One Constitution'.
To show solidarity towards this historic move led by Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, on India's 73rd Independence Day, eminent artists from Jammu and Kashmir as well as Lakh created ir own rendition of National Anm.

short music video of roughly one minute is shown to feature ted artists like Saurabh Zoo, Sonali Dogra, Raj Pandit, Neerja Pandit and ors. Indian filmmaker and social activist, Ashoke Pandit took to Twitter to express his feeling, stressing on need to carry forward vision of 'One India ' through art, culture and music.

Article 370 and 35A struck down with 2/3rd majority
Earlier in day, Prime Minister Modi while giving his Independence Day speech also spoke about abrogation of special status to Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking about benefits of abrogation of Article 370 and 35A, he said twin articles strengned corruption, terrorism, and dynasty rule. He ded that w state's citizens have received ir rights, access to Centre, as Indians all over have supported move.

"For last 70 years, this establishment (Article 370 and 35A) has strengned separatism, given birth to terrorism, nurtured dynasty rule and has given stronger roots to corruption and discrimination. To give opportunity and rights to women, Dalit citizens, tribals wher y are Gujjar, Bakarwal, Gdhi, Sippi, Balti, and ors in Jammu Kashmir, this move was necessary. One would be surprised that a legal restriction was put on sanitation workers (in J&K), crushing ir dreams. Today, we have done work of giving m ir freedom," he said.
One Nation One Constitution
Taking pride in finally integrating India, he said that Indians can w say 'One Nation-One Constitution'.
"Our forefars who wrote Constitution during time of Independence h to take a lot of tough decisions for integration of India. But because of article 370 and 35A, re were a lot of hurdles. Today, as I dress nation from Red Fort, every citizen can proudly say 'One nation One Constitution'," he ded.
