Independence Day 2020: 'A day to remember freedom fighters,' says Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal

CM Arvind Kejriwal says that it was freedom fighters who helped us build independent India. If it wasn't for ir sacrifice India would be way it is today. We owe every free breath to brave men who fought for our freedom.

"Today is day for remembering all those who sacrificed ir lives for getting independence from British. Bhagat Singh, Chandrashekhar Azad, Ashfaqullah Khan, among lakhs of ors gave supreme sacrifice for nation. Mahatma Gandhi, Babasaheb Ambedkar, Sardar Patel, Jawaharlal Nehru, and many ors put ir everything at stake. But today is also day for remembering those who made supreme sacrifice in last 73 years since Independence for country," said Chief Minister Kejriwal.
We should take this day to celebrate se brave men who gave up everything for future generations. Delhi CM said that it is because of supreme sacrifice of se great people, that we get to live and brea freely in an independent nation. Arvind Kejriwal also took this opportunity to thank Delhites for helping in getting COVID-19 situation under control and said that this battle against coronavirus will be won eventually.

" Delhi model is taking people, organisations, institutions, and governments toger. It is due to combined efforts of all that COVID-19 situation is under check. I thank Centre, religious organisations, NGOs, Corona warriors among ors for ir contribution in fight against disease," said CM.

On occasion of Independence Day 2020, CM Kejriwal pointed out that pollution levels in Delhi have reduced by 25 per cent in last 5 years.
" pollution level in Delhi reduced by 25 per cent in past five years. pollution level in 2020 is 25 per cent less than level in 2015. We are t happy with this, we need to take more steps and we will decrease it furr," he said.
