India is all set to celebrate the 77th Independence Day tomorrow, August 15, Tuesday with great enthusiasm. Citizens across the nation eagerly seeking ways to engage in the celebrations can tune in to Republic TV’s YouTube channel to watch Independence Day celebrations from across the country. 

Turning the nation’s attention towards the grandeur and solemnity of the Independence Day ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will deliver a speech from the Red Fort and unfurl the National Flag, an act that symbolises the country's freedom and the aspirations of its people.

The official Independence Day celebrations are often streamed live on its official websites and social media channels. The Prime Minister's address to the country from the Red Fort serves as the focal point of these occasions. Smooth live streaming choices are available on websites including the Prime Minister's Office's (pmindia.gov.in) and government-run platforms like Doordarshan's (ddnews.gov.in) and the National Informatics Center's (independence day.nic.in).

The 21-gun salute 

Notably, as the Tricolour will billow majestically, it will be synchronised with a 21-Gun Salute, executed by the elite 8711 Field Battery (Ceremonial), commanded by Lieutenant Colonel Vikas Kumar. Naib Subedar (AIG) Anoop Singh will serve as the Gun Position Officer.

As the National Flag unfurls and the 21-Gun Salute resounds, a shower of flower petals will cascade from the skies, adding an ethereal touch to the proceedings. The skies will be graced by two Advanced Light Helicopters Mark-III Dhruv of the Indian Air Force, piloted by Wing Commander Amber Agarwal and Squadron Leader Himanshu Sharma.
