Independence Day: Multitalented Ladakh MP Jamyang Tsering Namgyal celebrates in Leh by playing traditional drums

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal who is from a place which is located on one of the highest altitudes of the world, seems to be on cloud nine, regardless of where he is.

Jamyang Tsering Namgyal who is from a place which is located on one of the highest altitudes of the world, seems to be on cloud nine, regardless of where he is.

The BJP MP from Ladakh, who had the nation glued to the television when he spoke during the discussion on Jammu and Kashmir, Reorganisation Bill, 2019, appears to be exulted following the restructuring of the region. As Ladakh celebrated its first Independence Day as a Union Territory on Thursday, the lawmaker joined the locals in the festivities which included partaking in traditional music and dance.

In an earlier video, Republic Media Network had shown the Parliamentarian leading a line dance with his fluid movements. In the following clip, he can be seen immersed and enjoying playing the traditional drums - daman and surna - of Ladakh. Playing the drums with an apparent panache, the MP seems unstoppable.

Namgyal also took to Twitter to share photos of his own celebrations and said that it was a mere trailer of development being brought to the Union Territory.
