India, Cyprus review cooperation in various fields: MEA
India and Cyprus on Friday reviewed the cooperation in various fields including political, economic, consular and cultural areas, the External Affairs Ministry said.

India and Cyprus on Friday reviewed cooperation in various fields including political, ecomic, consular and cultural areas, External Affairs Ministry said.
In a statement, MEA said fifth round of Foreign Office Consultations (FOCs) between India and Cyprus was held on December 10 virtually.

" Indian side was led by Neeta Bhushan, Joint Secretary (Central Europe) and Cypriot side was led by ssalia Salina Shambos, Political Director, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Government of Republic of Cyprus," MEA said.
During consultations, both sides appreciated traditionally warm relations and reviewed cooperation in various fields including political, ecomic, consular, and cultural areas, statement said.
"Both sides reviewed status of agreements/MoUs including those on defense and military cooperation, sports and culture, including Ayurveda, and agreed to work towards early finalization of se agreements," it said.
Both sides also exchanged views on crisis in Eastern Mediterranean, occupation of rrn Cyprus and India-EU relations, international issues of mutual interest, and agreed to furr enhance cooperation in UN and or multilateral fora, External Affairs Ministry said.
MEA furr said both sides agreed on importance of continued engment between two countries for furr strengning bilateral ties and agreed to hold next round of Foreign Office Consultations at a mutually convenient date.
