PM Modi stressed India has emerged as a 'Vishva Mitra' (or friend of the world) and said that the world will witness and praise a developed India in 2047.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed India has emerged as a 'vishva mitra' (friend of the world) and said that the world will witness and praise a developed India when the Tricolour will be hoisted in 2047. Addressing the nation from the ramparts of the Red Fort on the 77th Independence Day, PM Modi said, "India has emerged as 'vishva mitra' (friend of the world) and the country is laying a strong foundation of 'vishva mangal' (global welfare)."
He emphasised India hosting the G20 summit in 2023 and the way the world is watching the country's capabilities. "India is hosting G20 Summit. Several G20 events are being held across the country. The world is now watching India's diversity and capabilities with great enthusiasm," said PM Modi, adding that role of Indians is evident in shaping the world.

Adding that the ball is in India's court and the country should not let go of the opportunity, PM Modi said, "no ifs and buts on anyone's mind about India's capabilities." The coming five years are the golden moment to realise the 2047 dream, he added.
PM Modi's 3 Mantras for 2047 target
Flagging 'Soochita, Pardarshita, aur Nispaksita' as the three mantras for a developed India in 2047, PM Modi said India was in 10th position in the global economic system, but it climbed up to fifth position with the effort of 140 crore countrymen. "In 2019, on the basis of performance, you blessed me once again… The next five years are for unprecedented development," he added.

He stressed that corruption, dynasty and appeasement were the three evils that the country was facing and said, "The demon of corruption that had the country in its clutches - we stopped leakages and created a strong economy." From the ramparts of Red Fort, PM Modi mentioned that the need of the hour was to fight the three evils so that the country can progress in its journey.
"I firmly believe that when the country will celebrate 100 years of freedom in 2047, the country would be a developed India. I say this on the basis of the capability of my country and available resources. But the need of the hour is to fight three evils -- corruption, dynasty and appeasement," PM Modi said in his address to the nation on 77th Independence Day,
