Assam Mining Tragedy: Rescue Operations in Dima Hasao Underway
The joint search and rescue operations are underway at the rat-hole coal mine at 3 Kilo Umrangso area in Assam's Dima Hasao to locate 5 other trapped workers.
The rescue teams of the Indian army, Indian Navy, NDRF and other agencies have retrieved four bodies from the flooded rat-hole mine. 9 workers were trapped inside the mine after water entered into the mine.

Telangana Govt Revokes Ticket Price Hike for Actor Ram Charan's 'Game Changer'
The Telangana government has revoked its earlier orders allowing an increase in ticket prices for actor Ram Charan starrer 'Game Changer'.
Complying with the High Court directives, the government said early morning shows will not be permitted in future 'until public interest, health and safety are duly considered'.
The orders withdrawing permission for screening the movie with enhanced rates would be effective from January 16, an official statement said on Saturday night.

Jharkhand Minority Panel Forms Team to Probe into Mob Lynching Case
A four-member team headed by Jharkhand State Minority Commission (JSMC) chairman Hedayatullah Khan was formed to probe into the alleged mob lynching of a man in Seraikela-Kharswan district in December last year, officials said on Sunday.
JSMC has taken cognizance of the incident after All India Minority Welfare Front spokesman Sarfraz Hussain, in a letter, demanded a judicial enquiry into the alleged mob lynching of Sheikh Tazuddin in Adityapur.
"We have formed a four-member team headed by Khan on Saturday and decided to investigate the matter," a top functionary of the commission said.

Fire Breaks Out in Chemical Factory in Noida, Firefighting Efforts Underway
A fire broke out in a chemical factory in Noida in the early hours of Sunday, a senior police official said.
As per the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Noida, the fire broke out in a chemical plant named Shri Banke Bihari Aromatics at around 3.25 am today.
Acting swiftly on the incident, the fire service unit immediately rushed to the spot with 32 fire tenders and engaged in a firefighting operation. Firefighting efforts are underway to douse the fire.

Golf Cart Service Starts on Mussoorie's Mall Road to Ease Traffic Congestion
'Golf carts' are seen running on the famous Mall Road of Mussoorie, the queen of hills, to reduce traffic pressure and provide smooth traffic facilities to local citizens and tourists.
This scheme has been started under the direction of Dehradun District Magistrate Savin Bansal. Under this initiative, the Municipal Council is running four golf carts on Mussoorie Mall Road in the first phase. Ten more golf carts will soon join this fleet.

Kannauj Railway Station Building Collapse: 6 Seriously Injured, No Causalities Reported
The collapse of an under-construction structure at Kannauj Railway Station has left six people seriously injured but they are out of danger, said a top police official on Saturday.
Speaking to ANI, Kanpur Commissioner K Vijayendra Pandian said that no casualties have been reported in the incident and out of 28 rescued people, 15 individuals have been discharged from the hospital after treatment.

Kerala police have arrested 14 people and registered five cases in connection with the sexual abuse of an 18-year-old Dalit girl in the Pathanamthitta district.
The case was brought to light after the girl alleged that as many as 62 people had sexually abused her over the last five years.

SpadeX: ISRO Brings Satellites Within Three Metres in Trial Attempt
ISRO on Sunday said the two satellites launched to perform space docking experiments were brought within three metres and then moved safely back in a trial attempt.
The space agency also said the docking process would be done after analysing the data further.
"A trial attempt to reach up to 15 metres and further to three metres is done. Moving back spacecraft to safe distance. The docking process will be done after analysing data further," ISRO said in a post on X.

The minimum temperature recorded in the national capital was 12 degrees Celsius as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). IMD has issued a warning of a wet spell in the city, with thunderstorms and hail expected later in the day.

Two Satellites Launched for Space Docking Experiment 'Closing in for Exciting Handshake': ISRO
The two satellites launched by ISRO to perform space docking experiment were 15 metres apart and closing in for an "exciting handshake", the space agency said on Sunday.
The two satellites, SDX01 (Chaser) and SDX02 (Target), are in good condition.
"At 15 metres, we see each other clearer and clearer, we are just 50 feet away for an exciting handshake," ISRO said in a post on X.

Superintendent of Assam Medical College and Hospital, Dhruv Jyoti Bhuiyan confirmed the infection, stating that a test was conducted on the child, which returned positive results.
