India LIVE: Central Government Invites Farmer Leaders for Talks on February 12

Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher announced on Saturday that the Central government has extended an invitation for a meeting to address their demands on February 12th. He disclosed that three Union ministers — Piyush Goyal, Arjun Munda, and Nityanand Rai — are scheduled to visit Chandigarh on the said date to engage in discussions with representatives from the Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and the Kisan Mazdoor Morcha.
 

BJP President K Annamalai After reaching  Nazarathpettai in Thiruvallur District said, "This yatra is for the total transformation of Tamil Nadu. We have to make Narendra Modi the Prime Minister of India for the third time now. We will win for sure. You have seen the DMK government five times and this is the sixth time but has Chennai changed? The DMK is still doing the same old politics."

Former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddique officially joined the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) after his official resignation from the Congress party on February 8. The induction ceremony took place in Mumbai, with the presence of NCP's party chief and Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar.

This is a proud moment for all of us, that we are seeing Pran Pratishtha of Ram Lalla. We became part & parcel of this historic moment...This is not possible without divine blessing. So, we should be thankful to the God who gave us this fortune...From 528 to 2023, several generations went past...Lord Ram's vanvaas was 14 years long but it was 500 years long too...", Nadda said.

BJP Presdient JP Nadda said,"The citizens of the country have established Ram Lalla with the help and contribution of BJP."

Prime Minister Modi said that laws like the Data Bill and Digital Personal Data Protection Act are important for dealing with modern needs. Priyanka Chaturvedi, speaking in the Rajya Sabha, talked about how we should accept India's differences and use them to solve problems. The PM also mentioned changes in space policies and thanked everyone in the 17th Lok Sabha for their help with financial reforms.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his address, pointed out the crucial role of research in driving progress, noting that without it, no society can advance. Additionally, PM Modi stated the Centre's focus on encouraging research over the past five years, aiming to position India as a global innovation hub.

During his address, he commended Speaker Om Birla for his balanced and fair approach to conducting parliamentary proceedings, particularly during challenging times such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Further, the Prime Minister highlighted the commitment of Members of Parliament (MPs) to national welfare, citing their decision to reduce salaries by 30% and forgo other privileges like canteen subsidies.

The accomplishments of the term, as the PM stated, include the passing of bills like the celebration of 75 years of independence, also known as Azadi ka Amrit Mohatsav, and the abrogation of Article 370 concerning Jammu and Kashmir.

PM Modi, with confidence in the future and anticipating even greater resolve from the 18th Lok Sabha, added, "Several generations had to wait, but a lot was achieved in this term that ended the wait."

-Former Chief Minister and ousted AIADMK leader O Panneerselvan says the alliance talks have been finalised. The ex-CM said,"We will announce after saying to you. Talks are going on with the BJP. A Mega alliance will be formed in Tamil Nadu to choose Narendra Modi as PM again."

money laundering case.

Former Samajwadi Party MLA Roshan Lal Verma on Saturday claimed that he has received death threats from callers using different numbers.

He told news agency PTI that the caller also abused him. He said as of now he has got calls from 10 different numbers. 

The Superintendent of Police has handed over the investigation into the matter to the cyber cell.

Verma said that the "accused was calling me from different numbers, threatening to kill me, and abusing me continuously when I said anything." He said that due to this, he has become "very much mentally disturbed".

As both houses of the parliament participate in discussions over Ram Mandir, the Trinamool Congress (TMC) said it won't participate in the discussion. 

During the discussion on the construction of the historic Ram Temple and Pran Pratishta begins in Lok Sabha, BJP MP Satya Pal Singh says "I am fortunate to get the opportunity to speak about the construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram on 22nd January, inside the Parliament. It is historic to see the Pran Pratishtha and offer prayers to Lord Ram at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, in Ayodhya.

The INDI Alliance will be meeting at 10 am today at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharges' office for parliament session scheduled to discuss Ram Mandir issues.

The Enforcement Directorate is conducting raids at Bellary Congress MLA House, ANI reported.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) is conducting searches at several locations in Coimbatore in connection with the car cylinder bomb blast, ANI reported. 

In today's Parliament Budget Session both the Houses will hold discussions on Ram Mandir. Furthermore, as per media, no zero or question hour will be observed in in both Houses.
