Parliament Winter Session: Both Houses adjourned till Monday 11 am
Today, on Day 12 of the winter session, Amit Shah will move the three amended criminal law bills for consideration and passage in Lok Sabha.

Parliament Winter Session Live: The Parliament proceedings on Thursday, December 14, were entirely washed as the opposition remained stern about their demand for the Union Home Minister in the Lok Sabha regarding the major security breach and strict actions against BJP MP Pratap Simha.
After multiple adjournments in both houses, five Congress MPs were suspended from Lok Sabha for the entire winter session, with nine more opposition MPs facing the same consequences for their “unruly conduct.” Meanwhile in Rajya Sabha. TMC MP Derek O'Brien faced a suspension for the entire winter session due to his misconduct," after which he decided to go on a silent protest outside the parliament.

On the other hand, Lalit Jha, the key accused in the Parliament Security breach on December 13, the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 Parliament attack was held by the police on Thursday in Delhi. As per sources, the Special Cells suspect that Lalit had made the phone disappear somewhere or had thrown it away or destroyed it. However, as per other sources, Lalit set the mobiles on fire. Before carrying out the incident, all four intruders handed their phones to him.

Both houses of the parliament have been adjourned till 2 pm on Friday seconds after it commence amid opposition protest over parliament security breach.
UHM Shah to move 3 amended criminal bills:
The Union Home Minister Amit Shah will move the three amended criminal law bills for consideration and passage, replacing the IPC, CrPC and Indian Evidence Act. The three bills were passed in the Lok Sabha on the last day of the Parliament's Monsoon Session.
The bills are Bharatiya Nyaya (Second) Sanhita, 2023, The Bharatiya Sakshya (Second) Bill, 2023; and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha (Second) Sanhita, 2023, which aim to replace the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Indian Evidence Act, 1872, and CrPC, respectively. The bills were introduced in the lower house this week.
Shah said that the bills have been withdrawn and the three new bills introduced with a few changes made. He added that the Standing Committee examined the bills and it was decided to bring the bills again.

Congress gives Suspension of Business letter & Adjournment motion notice
Congress Rajya Sabha MP Dr Syed Naseer Hussain gives Suspension of Business notice under rule 267 demanding a statement from the Union Home Minister over Parliament security breach incident.
Furthermore, MP Manish Tewari gave an Adjournment Motion notice in the Lok Sabha to discuss the unfortunate security breach incident. The notice read, “That this House do suspend Zero Hour, Question Hour, and other Businesses of the Day to have a discussion regarding the unfortunate security breach that occurred in the Parliament on December 13, 2023.”
Security heightened at Parliament:
Amid the major security breach on Wednesday, this video shared by PTI outside the Parliament shows the beefed-up security to avoid such scenarios. The officials have now introduced a four-level check post, including a body scan.
