India to sign $375 million deal to export BrahMos cruise missiles to Philippines today
The Philippines had accepted India's BrahMos Aerospace's export-order proposal to provide supersonic cruise missiles for its navy earlier this month.

In a major boost to country’s defence growth, India and Philippines will complete signing of USD 375 million deal for sale of BrahMos supersonic anti-ship cruise missiles to Philippines Navy on Friday. According to government officials, top defence brass of Philippines would be present on occasion. India would be represented by its Ambassor while major defence deal takes place.
Philippines h accepted BrahMos Aero's export-order proposal to provide supersonic cruise missiles for its navy earlier this month. major deal worth was communicated to India through a tice of Award by Philippines Department of National Defence, signed by Secretary Delfinn Lorenzana. order directed BrahMos Aero to provide supply of Shore-based Anti-ship Missile System within ten calendar days of receiving order.

India's BrahMos supersonic missile
A powerful and main weapon of combat, BrahMos missile has been deployed on almost all surface platforms of Indian Navy. BrahMos supersonic cruise missile can cover a range of 290 km reaching Mach 2.8 to 3 Mach speed. Meanwhile, BrahMos- II Hypersonic cruise missile can be deployed to hit target within a range of 450 – 600 km at Mach 7 velocity. missile is currently under joint development by DRDO and Russia's NPO Mashistroyenia.
On January 20, India successfully test-fired latest version of BrahMos supersonic cruise missile off coast of Odisha in Balasore. missile was equipped with new techlogical developments which were successfully proven, as per defence sources. Developed by a joint venture of Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) and Russia's rocket design bureau NPIOM, supersonic cruise missile can be launched from a submarine.
