Indian Army Dog 'Jaari' recovers NDFB's hidden weapon cache in Assam

An Indian Army Tracker dog named 'Jaari' helped security ncies locate and recover a huge cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives, hidden by an insurgent organization belonging to National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB (S)) at Panbari Reserve Forest in Bodoland Territorial Area Districts (BT) in Assam. operation was conducted on Tuesday, September 24.
Search Operation
According to reports, Indian Army launched a search operation in Panbari Reserve Forest, along with Assam Police and Service Selection Board (SSB). This was based on specific inputs regarding presence of a huge amount of arms and ammunition. Furr reports suggested that Army Canine Jaari led his handler and search teams to spot and started digging around in area. During search operation, Army and Police personnel found hidden cache of arms, ammunition, explosive and warlike stores.

It was reported that items were subsequently seized by Chirang Police and taken to Panbari police station. According to reports, success of operation is a huge setback to NDFB (S) cre. actions of Army will also ensure peace in BT and Assam especially. Furr, reports stated that elections in BT are scheduled to be held early next year.
