Indian Army increases troops along LAC in Ladakh in response to China's heavy deployment

In response to the heavy deployment of the Chinese troops along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), the Indian Army has also increased its presence to deter PLA

In response to heavy deployment of Chinese troops along Line of Actual Control (LAC), Indian Army has also increased its presence to deter People's Liberation Army (PLA) from carrying out transgressions in or areas. tension along border has been increasing with instances of a face-off between Indian and Chinese army being reported along borderlines in Lakh and Sikkim as well. Reportedly, Chinese have deployed over 5,000 soldiers across different locations bordering Lakh.

Chinese movements continue across border

According to ANI's sources in Indian Army, Chinese have moved in troops and heavy vehicles across Line of Actual Control near Pangong Tso Lake and finger area and are well within Indian territory. It has also been reported that Chinese Army has diverted its troops initially carrying out a massive exercise on ir side of LAC and deployed m at short tice across areas where Indian Army's 81 and 114 Briges have been deployed to counter Chinese movements.

In Galwan Nala area, Chinese have walked in with troops from its ro he nearly 10-15 km from Indian post KM120. Sources have reported that Chinese have been building ir ros in area opposite to Indian positions for which objections were also raised from Indian side but y continued building. In or areas of eastern Lakh under 70 brige, in Himachal sector and central sector of LAC including border with Uttarakhand, Indian Army has increased ir presence and patrolling to check any attempts by PLA to transgress in or areas.

COAS Naravane visits Lakh

Army chief General M M Naravane visited Lakh on Friday to review operational situation, as per sources. He h a day earlier asserted that Army is 'deeply committed to ensuring India’s security and sovereignty'. Last week, in interaction with news ncy ANI, he h said that re is 'thing new' about skirmishes that have taken place along LAC, assuring that situation is being dealt as per protocols laid down between two countries and in accordance with strategic guidelines.
