Indian Army got its first deliveries of new boats specially designed for water bodies in high altitude areas like Lakh for fast and easy movement of troops and surveillance.

se patrolling boats are built by Goa shipyard Ltd. exclusively for Indian Army for deployment at Pangong Tso along LAC. army h ordered 29 such specialized boats in January amid stand-off with China. army needed boats for patrolling and surveillance and quick deployment of troops on banks of lake.

Special boats built for Indian Army

se boats are specially designed to move swiftly in mountainous water body with sharp curves. Each of se boats can carry two dozen soldiers along with ir weapons. complete number of 29 boats will be delivered and deployed in next four to five months as informed by official sources. boats are of two s one for ferrying troops with los and or for quick deployment of troops.

Indian Army however has alrey deployed boats in Pangong Tso buy new boats are much better in ir capabilities, design, and speed. y are lighter and have anti-ramming capabilities. army has deployed specialized boats with quick reaction teams in Pangong Tso as Army stays alert along LAC. Navy boats and Marcos have also been deployed in region since last year.

Indian Army has been in a stand-off with China for more than a year and forces are highly motivated with strong deployment in region. armed forces are strengning mselves with technological vancements in terms of equipment, clothing, and habitat. new boats will also boost power of soldiers deployed along region.

India has conducted eleven rounds of talks with China in last year to resolve tension. disengagement along North and South banks of Pangong Tso took place in month of February. Army successfully completed winter haul in Eastern Lakh and remains high on its operational preparedness in spite of continued Covid battle.
