Indian Embassy in UAE to extend its services to families in Mussafah

The move is set to benefit thousands of blue-collar workers and families residing in the district.

Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi would soon start its consular services in industrial area of Mussafah, benefiting thousands of blue-collar workers and families residing in district, according to a media report.

Embassy counsellor M. Rajamurugan said initiative has been approved, in principle, by Indian Ambassor to UAE Navdeep Singh Suri.

services, which would start from this month-end, would be offered from Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajam, only registered Indian association functioning in Mussafah, Khaleej Times reported.

This will help thousands of blue-collar workers and families residing in district, southwest of Abu Dhabi, who travel to city for passport renewal, attestation of certificates and visa-related paper works.

"Officials from embassy will visit Abu Dhabi Malayalee Samajam this Sunday to see existing infrastructure. services will start on a monthly basis and depending on demand, we can increase frequency after furr review," he said.

Rajamurugan said services will be a boon t only for families in Mussafah but also for big population spre-out in Shabia, Shahama, Al Mafraq, Bani Yas, Mohammed Bin Zayed City and surrounding areas.

"re are lots of workers in labour accommodations and many families are also residing re. services will be offered on Friday. idea is to facilitate as many workers at labour accommodations," he said.
