Indians adopt the Chalk and circle way to break the COVID-19 chain
On the first day of the pan-India lockdown, citizens across the nation were spotted practicing social distancing to break the Coronavirus chain

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday anunced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, people from across nation have begun practicing social distancing among mselves, as a measure to break chain of Coronavirus spre.
Earlier in day, Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh also took to his official Twitter handle and shared a few pictures where people were spotted standing in separate circles marked with chalk while collecting basic supplies from a store.

Apart from Punjab, people from places like ida, Bengaluru, and Gujarat also opted a similar process, by marking circles with chalk on lane outside grocery stores in respective areas, to keep a safe distance between customers. Meanwhile, in union territory of Jammu-Kashmir, people who were caught violating lockdown were me to sit in circles drawn to maintain social distance.

"From midnight, across country, re will be countrywide lockdown in India. re will be a complete restriction of leaving out from residence. All districts, vills will be locked down. This is curfew only -a stricter curfew than Janta curfew. We have to bear ecomic consequences because of this. But to save every Indian's life at this time is my and government's responsibility," said PM Modi.
