Infant Kidnapped From Delhi's Safdarjung Hospital Rescued From Rail Station In UP; Two Arrested
A one-and-half-month-old infant, kidnapped from the Safdarjung Hospital in the national capital, was rescued from Uttar Pradesh Shahjahanpur railway station.

New Delhi: A 45-day-old infant, kidnapped from Safdarjung Hospital in Delhi, was rescued from Uttar Presh's Shahjahanpur railway station while two suspects in case were arrested, police reported on Sunday.
rescue operation was carried out by Delhi Police with help from Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF).

ditional Deputy Commissioner of Police (southwest) Akanksha Yav said, " complainant woman was at Safdarjung Hospital on November 15 for kidney treatment of her husband when a woman engaged her in conversation, gained her trust and eventually took child in her arms."

Police said an FIR was filed immediately at Safdarjung Enclave Police Station and investigation was taken up under supervision of ACP Ranbir Singh.
"Teams were formed and sent to monitor all major bus stands and railway stations in Delhi-NCR," ditional DCP Yav said.

After analysing CCTV footage from Safdarjung Hospital, woman was identified and tracked to Anand Vihar Railway Station where two suspects boarded Bareilly-bound Sbhavana Express, she said.
"Although suspects were in disguise, y were apprehended and baby was rescued. two accused were identified as Mahi Singh (24) and Rohit Kumar (32) both from Uttar Presh," police officer said, ding infant was reunited with family.
