Inhuman: Suspected Thief Brutally Tortured in Bihar, Chilli Powder Forced into Private Parts

Patna: In a harrowing incident in Bihar's Araria, a man accused of theft was subjected to brutal torture by a group of individuals. They tied his hands, forcibly pulled down his pants, and poured chili powder into his private parts. The disturbing act was captured on video, which later circulated widely on social media. Police officials have called the incident as "inhuman," and have taken a person into custody in connection with the crime.
The horrifying video captures the victim with his hands bound and his pants forcibly pulled down, as he is made to bend forward while a man cruelly pours chili powder into his private parts. In an even more disturbing act, a pen is used to ensure the chilli powder penetrates further. The voices in the background demand that the victim bow lower, even as he cries out in agony and begs for mercy. His pleas go unheard as his tormentors proceed with a second round of the brutal act.
Amidst the ordeal, several onlookers jostle to capture the scene on their phones, seemingly eager to document the torture. The victim had been accused of stealing vehicles, and at one point, a voice in the crowd suggested involving the police. However, others quickly dismiss the idea, arguing that "cops let them go," preferring to take the law into their own hands.
Following the incident, RJD attacked the Nitish Kumar-led JDU-BJP government, saying that this is "worse than Taliban".
"This is Nitish Kumar-BJP's Mahagundaraj-Mahajungleraj. This is worse the Taliban. The Chief Minister is not in his senses. Many murders are taking place in Bihar daily," RJD said in a post on X.
Meanwhile, Araria Police said, "This inhuman act was committed with a man accused of theft. One person committing this act has been arrested. Action is being taken against others too."
