In a remarkable achievement, 26-year-old Priya Pathak has emerged as the topper in the Madhya Pradesh state service examination 2019, securing the coveted position of deputy collector in her very first attempt.

What sets her apart is not just her academic prowess but the inspiration she drew from the success story of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Tina Dabi, the UPSC topper of 2015.

Hailing from Nagod in Satna district, Priya Pathak holds a master's degree in political science. Her journey into the civil services began during her final year of graduation in biotechnology when she made a resolute decision to pursue a career in the civil services.

The catalyst for this decision was the awe-inspiring success of Tina Dabi, whose achievements in the Union Public Service Commission’s (UPSC) civil services exam served as a guiding light for Pathak.

Priya Pathak's academic journey exemplifies her dedication and commitment. She not only excelled in political science but also secured the second position in the state service examination 2020, earning her the role of deputy superintendent of police (DSP).

Her pursuit of excellence reflects not only in her successful attempts but also in her clear vision for the future.

In a conversation with PTI, Priya Pathak expressed her aspirations for the future. If given the opportunity, she aims to focus on providing quality education to students and enhancing health facilities for women.

During the interview, Pathak emphasized how Tina Dabi's journey served as a source of inspiration. The 2015 UPSC topper became a role model for Pathak during her formative years, influencing her decision to pursue a career in civil services. Pathak's success stands as a testament to the transformative power of mentorship and inspiration.
