Inter-state Arms Smuggling Module Busted In Punjab, 7 Operatives Nabbed

Amritsar: In a breakthrough, Amritsar Police Commissionerate has dismantled an interstate weapons smuggling module with seven of its operatives apprehended, a top police officer said on Thursday.

module is connected to Dilpreet Singh, who is based in USA, according to Punjab 's Director General of Police, Gaurav Yav. He also noted that 12 pistols, 16 magazines, and 23 cartridges were confiscated.

"Preliminary investigations revealed that module was providing logistical support to various gangs by procuring weapons from Mhya Presh .

"An FIR has been registered at police station Islamab (in Amritsar), and a thorough investigation is ongoing to identify ors involved in network," DGP posted on X.

DGP said that Punjab Police is dedicated to taking decisive action against organized crime and illegal arms trafficking, and y are focused on uncovering all connections within network.
