Iran's parliament speaker: Soleimani killing 'a crime'

Iran's parliament speaker accused the president of the United States of committing a "big crime" following the US killing of Iranian top general Qassem Soleimani.

Iran's parliament speaker accused president of United States of committing a "big crime" following US killing of Iranian top general Qassem Soleimani.

"Mr. Trump, you have committed a big crime,"  said Ali Larijani during Sunday's session in Tehran.

body of Soleimani, commander of Revolutionary Guard's Quds Force, arrived in Iran early on Sunday morning from southwestern city of Ahvaz.

A large funeral is planned for him in Tehran as well as or Iranian cities on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.

Soleimani was killed on Friday in a US airstrike in Baghd.

His death in Iraq furr heightens tensions between Tehran and Washington after months of tring attacks and threats that put wider Middle East on edge.

conflict is rooted in Trump pulling out of Iran's nuclear deal with world powers, an accord likely to furr unravel as Tehran is expected to anunce as early as Sunday it will break ar set of limits.
