On Saturday, as nation stood with pride with ISRO, after it lost communication with its lander, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said that it is t a moment of despair and saluted scientists and engineers associated with India's moon mission Chandrayaan 2 for ir hard work. Registering a near landing,  Vikram lander of Chandrayaan 2 lost communication just two minutes before landing, at a point when it was only 2.1 km away from Lunar surface. "re is thing to despair. ISRO only lost communication with Lander & t hopes of 1.3 billion Indians. Orbiter with its payloads is performing its mission," Vice President wrote on Twitter.

Speaking to scientists and all or workers of ISRO related to Chandrayaan 2 at ISRO Monitoring Centre in Bengaluru, Prime Minister Modi on Saturday morning assured that nation is proud of ISRO and it is hopeful about future ventures in .  He also consoled ISRO chairman K Sivan who broke into tears as Prime Minister shook his hands with him after his inspirational speech. PM Modi also said that scientists are an inspiration for entire nation.
