On Saturday, as the nation stood with pride with ISRO, after it lost communication with its lander, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu said that it is not a moment of despair and saluted the scientists and engineers associated with India's moon mission Chandrayaan 2 for their hard work. Registering a near landing, the Vikram lander of Chandrayaan 2 lost communication just two minutes before the landing, at a point when it was only 2.1 km away from Lunar surface. "There is nothing to despair. ISRO only lost communication with the Lander & not the hopes of 1.3 billion Indians. The Orbiter with its payloads is performing its mission," the Vice President wrote on Twitter.
