Dawar Battalion of Indian Army's Sw Leopard Brige airlifted four patients including a 10-day old infant and a young girl diagsed with a heart attack in Kashmir's remote Gurez Valley. Presently,  Valley is cut off from rest of union territory due to unprecedented swfall this winter.

On Monday, Dawar Garrison of Sw Leopard Brige received a requisition from civil ministration for evacuation of critical patients. Dawar has a civil hospital with limited vance diagstic and treatment facilities. To overcome problem of scarce resources, medical team of Dawar Battalion and Sub Division Hospital in Gurez achieved a high degree of cohesion and synergy with an aim to provide medical aid to locals and army personnel alike.

Saving civilian lives

Army evacuated four critically ill patients from different vills around Dawar. most critical was a young girl of vill Markut who was diagsed with Acute Coronary Syndrome. On receipt of a distress call from civil ministration, gallant soldiers of Indian Army removed sw from Gurez Helip which h accumulated due to continuous swfall for last three days. critically ill patient was stabilised by Medical Team of Dawar Battalion at Helip before she could be evacuated by air.

locals thanked commander of  Sw Leopard Brige for support extended to Gurezis time and again. goodwill gesture of Army will go a long way in strengning bonds between Army and Awaam.
